Washington, D.C. - November 7, 2020

This is a selection of photographs I took in Washington, D.C. on November 7th, 2020 after the major news networks announced that Joe Biden won the election and would be the 46th president of the United States. It is hard to explain how amazing it felt to be in the city when the news broke. I have never seen anything like the spontaneous out pouring of joy and relief I witnessed. People were even happy to be stuck in traffic and where honking the horns in victory rather than anger.
